It is required that when a GFT member of any department or a Non-GFT member of a converted department leaves, that department must notify the Office of the Chief Executive Officer of SEAMO in writing on or before 15 calendar days following such termination.
Any financial liability to SEAMO accruing due to oversight of this requirement will be deemed to be a liability of the department involved.
SEAMO currently has a policy requiring departments to notify SEAMO of departures of GFTs. The policy also requires “fully converted departments or clinical units” to notify SEAMO of departures of both GFTs and non-GFTs. Failure to do so can result in a financial liability to SEAMO, and by this policy the financial impact is passed on to the department/unit involved.
