Principles - Establishment of
Policy • The SEAMO Governing Committee shall adopt clear principles concerning finances, personnel and all aspects of its mission. Departments and other subunits , e.g., the SEAMO Office are accountable to SEAMO Governing Committee for internal compliance with SEAMO Governing Committee principles, e.g., departmental staffing and financial issues, as they pertain to SEAMO, have to be visible. • The business model should be adopted – budgets should be realistic, approved and followed; • SEAMO should review financial statements at least every two months; • Staffing in SEAMO should be along the same lines with clear rules and adherence to priorities, but reserving flexibility for changing clinical needs; • Staffing and finance should be open to scrutiny; • Both Staffing and Resources Committees need to work out their role modes of operation and give priority to the interfaces with the Institutions and University that are so vital;
