Vacant Positions

Policy

This policy relates to vacant positions. Policy regarding a Leave of Absence is contained in policy #20-150.

In the event of a vacant position, revenue related to the vacancy (both T4 and T4A) will be retained in a separate budgetary line by SEAMO and not by the Department in which the vacancy occurs. The Department may elect to apply to SEAMO management for a portion of this money as is necessary to meet SEAMO's mission.

Funds related to vacant positions will be retained in a separate budgetary line. Revenues and expenditures including projections to year-end, related to the budgetary line will be presented at least quarterly by SEAMO management to the SEAMO Resources Committee.

For each vacancy the T4 and T4A revenue/expenditure and reason should be reported as they occur on a quarterly basis to the Resources Committee.

As an example, we would expect the following table to be reported to the Resources Committee as vacancies occur.
