Policy That SEAMO Governing Committee should develop a clear understanding of its deliverables in the domains of clinical service, research, education and administration.
• This is inextricably entwined with the principle that the SEAMO Governing Committee should adopt clear principles concerning finances, personnel and all aspects of its mission which is essential for AFP renegotiations;
• Administration should be included as a front line mandate along with the traditional Medical Faculty responsibilities (clinical service, research and education).
That SEAMO Governors and Faculty administrators should accept education in governance and management:
• The distinction between principles of governance and the requirements of management must become better understood;
• Education shall be specific to the purpose and function of SEAMO.
