Dr. Connor McGuire joins the Department of Surgery as a plastic and reconstructive surgeon. He completed his medical degree and residency at Dalhousie University, followed by fellowship training in adult craniofacial surgery at the University of Toronto and aesthetic surgery in New Zealand. Dr. McGuire brings expertise in craniofacial trauma, aesthetic surgery, and reconstructive care.

Dr. Maria Luz Garagiola joins the Department of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. She earned her MD from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in 2017 and is now certified in Cardiology by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
Dr. Breanne Golemiec joins the Department of Medicine in the Division of Respirology. She earned her MD from McMaster University and completed residency training in both internal medicine and respirology. Dr. Golemiec brings specialized expertise in respiratory care to support patients across the region.
Dr. Amy Jiang joins the Department of Anesthesiology at Kingston General Hospital. She earned her MD from Queen’s University in 2018 and achieved certification in Anesthesiology from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in June 2023.
Dr. Kaarthigeyan Kalaniti joins the Department of Pediatrics. He completed his medical degree at the University of Toronto and residency training in pediatrics at Western University. He went on to pursue subspecialty training in neonatal-perinatal medicine and clinical epidemiology. Dr. Kalaniti brings significant experience in neonatal care, health leadership, and medical education, with previous roles including NICU Program Director and Pediatric Clerkship Director.
Dr. Roni Kraut joins the Department of Family Medicine. She previously practised in Edmonton in both primary care and long-term care settings and holds an MSc in Clinical Epidemiology from the University of Alberta. Dr. Kraut’s academic interests include deprescribing, overdiagnosis, population screening, and primary care-focused research.
Dr. Karmen Krol joins the Department of Anesthesiology. He earned his MD from Queen’s University and is certified in Anesthesiology by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Krol brings extensive clinical experience, having served patients across the Quinte Health region.
Dr. Oksana Motalo joins the Department of Medicine in the Division of Hematology. She earned her MD from the Northern Ontario School of Medicine and completed residency training in internal medicine and hematology. Dr. Motalo brings expertise in malignant and non-malignant hematologic conditions, with a growing focus on stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy.
Dr. Chad Purcell joins the Department of Surgery. Originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, he completed his undergraduate, medical school, and residency training at Dalhousie University. Dr. Purcell recently completed a rhinology fellowship at Indiana University and brings expertise in both medical and surgical care of the head and neck.
Dr. Tony Yeung joins the Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine with a clinical focus in hematopathology and lymphoma. He completed his PhD in Cell Biology through the University of Toronto’s MD/PhD program and residency training at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard University. Dr. Yeung’s research explores bone marrow neoplasms through integrated spatial, genomic, and phenotypic analysis.
