SEAMO's commitment to research, education and innovation is best exemplified by the funding being offered to our world-class physicians every year. Through the funding opportunities SEAMO provides, member physicians are able to apply for grants that will have an indelible impact on their research and educational pursuits. The Clinical Fellowship Program (CFP) supports recruitment into SEAMO-funded positions, by providing funded opportunities for fellows to obtain additional training following the Royal College/College of Family Physicians accredited residency training.
This one-time investment from SEAMO will be able to fund up to 10 positions of approximately $100,000. Awards are one-year, non-renewable fellowships.
The Clinical Professional Development Fund supports the development of novel skills in clinical care and the enhancement of existing clinical skills within the current pool of SEAMO physicians.
SEAMO-funded physicians are eligible to receive a maximum award of $50,000 for a single program of study over a three-year period to support the development and/or enhancement of clinical skills.
The Research Fellowship Program (RFP) supports the establishment of new research fellow positions by providing funded opportunities for fellows to receive the training and mentorship required to be successful clinician scientists.
This investment from SEAMO will fund applications of up to $100,000 per annum. Awards are one-year, non-renewable.
The fund supports projects of up to $15,000. The projects must be intended to add value to the continuum of medical education offered through Queen’s School of Medicine e.g. undergraduate medical education, postgraduate training programs or continuing professional development. Please be aware that individual CTAQ members are limited to a maximum of two successful applications.
The Established Researcher/Educational Scholar Fund (ER/ESF) supports SEAMO’s objectives to build an academy of SEAMO physician researchers, educational leaders and scholars with a critical mass sufficient to enable the continuous implementation of best principles and leading practices in research and medical education and innovation.
SEAMO-funded established researchers are eligible to receive a maximum of $50,000 per year, for a three-year period to support the development and/or enhancement of research.
All SEAMO-funded physicians are encouraged to apply for the program, which provides grants of up to $50,000, over a five-year period.
