Did you know that Midwives are now able to send eConsults through the Ontario eConsult Service?
In collaboration with the Association of Ontario Midwives, the Ontario eConsult Centre of Excellence has launched the Midwives Access to eConsult Advice (MACA) project. This initiative enables midwives to access timely, client-specific specialist advice through eConsult on the OTNhub platform.

We are happy to welcome two new physicians to Team SEAMO in May 2025.
Dr. Jenn Flemming is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Public Health Sciences at Queen’s University and a practicing gastroenterologist and hepatologist at Kingston Health Sciences Centre. She leads a health services research program that uses population-based data from Ontario to study the epidemiology and outcomes of patients living with liver disease.
We are happy to welcome one new physician to Team SEAMO in April 2025.
Dr. Rommana Mehdi joins General Internal Medicine. Dr. Mehdi earned her medical degree from Dubai Medical College for Girls and completed her internal medicine residency at the Dubai Health Authority. She recently completed a clinical fellowship at St. Michael’s Hospital, University of Toronto. Her chronic disease management and internal medicine expertise will be a valuable addition to the team.

David Barber – Family Medicine: Assessment of screening patterns for metabolic dysfunction-associated steatotic liver disease (MASLD) in patients with diabetes mellitus within the Canadian primary care setting

Dr. Liora Berger joins the Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Berger completed her medical degree at the University of Queensland Faculty of Medicine in 2015 and has been actively practicing psychiatry since November 2023. Her addition to the team is expected to enhance the department's clinical and academic capabilities, contributing to the ongoing excellence in psychiatric care.

Dr. Jill Quirt is a general surgeon joining the Department of Surgery. She completed her medical degree at the University of Toronto and has a background in both clinical care and research.
