On July 1, 2019 we welcomed seven physicians to Kingston, Queen’s and the SEAMO family. Each new physician brings a dynamic set of skills that supports SEAMO’s mission - delivering outstanding health care, fostering excellence in research and education and facilitating the transformation of academic medicine in Kingston.

  • Stuart Douglas – Emergency Medicine
    Dr. Douglas is taking on the role of Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Lead
  • Laura Gaudet – OBGYN
    Dr. Gaudet comes to us from Ottawa, where she worked as a Perinatologist
  • George Gray – OBGYN (Gynecology Oncology)
    Dr. Gray is a Gynecologic Oncologist joining us from Ottawa
  • Faizal Haji – Surgery (Neurosurgery)
    Dr. Haji is a Pediatric Neurosurgeon and one of two Medical Education Scholars. His education interest is in the field of simulation.  Look for an in-depth profile of Dr. Haji in the September eNewsletter 
  • Marisa Horniachek – OBGYN 
    Dr. Horniachek is joining us from McMaster, where she recently completed her training 
  • Majid Iqbal –Medicine (Palliative Care)
    Dr. Iqbal recently completed his training in Palliative Medicine here at Queen’s and will be staying on in the Department of Medicine to serve the needs of our community  
  • Matt Strauss - Medicine (General Internal Medicine)
    Dr. Strauss currently shares his time between Kingston and Guelph General Hospital
