Emergency Medicine

Dr. Michael Hale comes from the University of Ottawa where he completed his undergrad, MD and residency programs. 

Dr. Henry Swoboda is joining the Department from the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He has previously worked at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.


Dr. Taleen Haddad works in the Division of Geriatric Medicine and she completed her studies at the National University of Ireland in Galway, Ireland and the University of Ottawa.

Dr. Jean Mathews works in the Division of Palliative Medicine and comes from Toronto where he completed a one-year clinical fellowship at University Health Network and a two-year clinical research fellowship at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

Dr. Sophie Gibson was previously a locum in the OBGYN Department. She did her postgraduate training at the University of Toronto. 


Dr. Christine Orr completed her residency at Queen’s University and has been involved in research regarding gastrointestinal and head & neck pathology during her training. 


Dr. Daniel Mulder was a Queen’s University medical student before completing his residency at McMaster University. He comes to the Department from the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, where he was a Pediatric Gastroenterology Fellow. Dr. Mulder is cross-appointed to the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology.
