Dr. Tiffany Chow joins the Department of Family Medicine. She earned her MD from the University of Toronto in 2018 and completed her family medicine residency at Queen’s University. With a strong commitment to comprehensive, community-based primary care, Dr. Chow brings valuable expertise to support the health needs of Kingston and the surrounding region.
Dr. Mireya Citlalli Perez Guzman joins the Department of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology. She recently completed a clinical fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Toronto. Her clinical and research interests include diabetes care and the use of technology to support inpatient glucose management.
Dr. Matthew Hanson joins the Department of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology. He completed his medical degree at Western University and his residency and cardiology training at Queen’s. He is now practising at Kingston Health Sciences Centre and holds an academic appointment with Queen’s. His addition strengthens the Division’s capacity to provide high-quality cardiac care.
Dr. Maria Rodriguez Herrera joins the Department of Medicine in the Division of Endocrinology. She earned her MD from Universidad de Costa Rica in 2016 and recently completed a clinical fellowship in endocrinology and metabolism at the University of Toronto. She brings international training and a dedication to patient-centered endocrine care, strengthening our division’s breadth and expertise.
Dr. Jake Hong joins the Department of Psychiatry. He earned his MD from McMaster University in 2020 and recently completed postgraduate training in Psychiatry at Queen’s. With a strong focus on mental health, he brings valuable expertise in community-based psychiatric care.
Dr. Ghida Kassir joins the Department of Psychiatry. She is a specialist in adolescent psychiatry and eating disorders and recently completed a clinical fellowship in brain stimulation therapies and treatment-resistant depression at the University of Toronto. Her expertise bolsters the department’s capacity to deliver advanced, evidence-based mental health care to diverse patient populations.
Dr. Susan Mollan joins the Department of Ophthalmology. An internationally recognized neuro‑ophthalmologist, Dr Mollan is a Consultant and Honorary Professor at the University of Birmingham, with a focus on conditions like idiopathic intracranial hypertension and papilledema. She brings extensive clinical research experience and over 200 peer‑reviewed publications, which will enrich our department’s neuro‑ophthalmology expertise.
Dr. Alida Pokoradi joins the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology. She earned her MD from Queen’s University in 2016 and became certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology (2021) and Gynecologic Oncology (2023) through the Royal College. As an Assistant Professor and gynecologic oncologist, she brings expertise in oncology surgery and women’s pelvic health to our department.
Dr. Mina Tohidi joins the Department of Surgery in the Division of Orthopedic Surgery as an Academic Surgeon. She completed her MD, residency in orthopedic surgery, PhD in Epidemiology, and clinical trauma fellowship at Queen’s. Her clinical expertise includes general orthopedics and complex trauma, and her research focuses on health outcomes and quality improvement. An experienced educator, she is actively involved in teaching and mentorship.
Dr. Gregory Warren joins the Department of Family Medicine. He was appointed Assistant Professor at Queen’s University and brings a strong commitment to clinical education and community-based primary care.
