SEAMO is happy to welcome two new physicians who joined us mid-September and three new physicians joining us in October.

Dr. James Ahlin joins the Department of Emergency Medicine in October and was previously a locum. He completed his postgraduate training at Queen’s University. He also has training in General Surgery and Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Adil Al-Mousawi joins the Department of Psychiatry in October from Cornerstone House Hospital in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire in the United Kingdom. Dr. Al-Mousawi trained in Psychiatry at the University of Aberdeen and University of Birmingham. He has clinical experience in general psychiatry, neuropsychiatry and psychiatry of intellectual disability and autism.

Dr. Alasdair Rathbone joined the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in September. He attended medical school at Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Western Ontario and completed his residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at Queen’s University. His clinical interests include chronic pain, electromyography, hyper mobility disorders and general rehabilitation. His research interests are focused on the diagnosis and treatment of regional myofascial pain syndrome.

Dr. Calum Scott joined the Department of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation in September. He completed his postgraduate training at Queen’s University and returns to Kingston from the University of Alberta. He has been published on the subject of “controlling the temperature of bones using pulsed CO2 lasers." 

Dr. Elizabeth Squirell joins the Department of Medicine, Division of Gastroenterology in October. She was previously a locum in the Department. She completed her postgraduate training at Queen’s and McMaster Universities. She also has training in General Internal Medicine.
