Arrivals and Departures

On July 1, 2019 we welcomed seven physicians to Kingston, Queen’s and the SEAMO family. Each new physician brings a dynamic set of skills that supports SEAMO’s mission - delivering outstanding health care, fostering excellence in research and education and facilitating the transformation of academic medicine in Kingston.

Please join us in welcoming:

Don’t spend it all in one place!

The next round of payments for the Ontario eConsult Program will be distributed in July. Remuneration is provided quarterly by the SEAMO Office in January, April, July and October.

Specialists receive $200 per hour, pro-rated in five-minute increments, for the first 25 minutes. Compensation for time over 25 minutes is calculated to the minute. Time spent conducting eConsults is self-reported.

Medical Education Development Program Funds Four Physicians

The Medical Education Development Program (MEDP) supports SEAMO’s objective to build an academy of SEAMO physician educational leaders and scholars with a critical mass sufficient to enable the continuous implementation of best principles and leading practices in medical education.

This Spring, SEAMO received four requests in which all four were recommended for funding by the Medical Education Program Committee (MEPC). Approximately $55 thousand dollars will be provided to the successful applicants to help further their medical education.
