As of November 2021, 8,033 eConsults have been sent in the past 12 months.

Dr. Siddhartha Srivastava from the Division of General Internal Medicine is working in a large multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, leaders, and experts from SEAMO, Kingston Health Sciences Center, primary care teams, and Queen’s University, working together biweekly on a pilot project that will bring together the various digital health tools in the region into one streamlined consultation process.

The Division of Dermatology has been the busiest receiver of referrals for a long time. SEAMO is pleased to welcome Dermatology into a brand new eConsult pilot project, encouraging referring physicians to send an eConsult to this team of doctors instead.

This summer, SEAMO is pleased to welcome two new team members to assist with all things digital health within the organization.

Orthopedic specialist Dr. Aaron Campbell is currently taking part in a pilot project for the Division of Orthopedic Surgery to evaluate if eConsult is a viable method to address patients’ concerns and needs.
